C. Eric (Rick) Eades is President of TAGMA of Jackson,
Mississippi, Inc. and performs inspections throughout the
State of Mississippi.  
    
Rick holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the Virginia Military Institute and a Masters of
Administration in Industrial Management from Lynchburg College.  His work experience includes 24
years of management in quality control/safety/R & D, microbiology, and performing industrial code
compliance inspections.  Since incorporating TAGMA in 1992, Rick has performed over 4300
inspections of single family & multi-family housing, mobile homes, manufactured homes, and small
commercial buildings.  

He is a certified master member of the Mississippi Association of Home Inspectors (MAHI # 092797)
and the Home Inspectors of Tennessee Association (HITA #111392).  With MAHI, he led the
incorporation of the association and was its first charter member and President in 1997.  Since 1997,
he has held the office of president for 9 years and is the current 2006 President.  MAHI is a non-profit,
educational, incorporated association.

Through the International Code Council, Rick is a certified 1 and 2 family dwelling inspector, and a
residential energy inspector/plans review examiner.  He is a former certified HUD REAC multi-family
housing inspector.  Through the Mississippi Department of Environmental Quality, he is a certified lead
inspector, license # MS-I000001, business/firm certificate # 000004.  With the Exterior Design Institute
(EDI) he is a certified EIFS inspector and moisture analyst, certificate #MS-03.  EIFS cladding (Exterior
Insulation Finish System) is also referred to as synthetic stucco.

Rick completed studies at Auburn University School of Engineering to be listed with the U.S. EPA as a
radon gas technologist (RMP #138640T).  

He is an affiliate member of both the Jackson and Mississippi Associations of Realtors.  Rick has
approval from the Mississippi Real Estate Commission (MREC), the Mississippi Appraisal Licensing
and Certification Board (MAB), and Mississippi Home Inspector’s Board (MHIB) to teach continuing
education courses for a current total of 148 hours of CEU credits.    

Since 1968, Rick has been a member of the American Society for Quality in which he now holds a
"Senior Member" designation.  

Rick is a certified energy rater and trainer with Energy Rated Homes of Mississippi (ERHMS) and is
currently serving as their technical director.  He is on the board of directors for the Mississippi Housing
Initiative and teaches several of their training courses.   Rick currently holds a residential builder's
license to remodel homes, contractor #R03952.
