desire. Reports are usually ready and hand delivered the same afternoon for
morning inspections with an additional copy included. Both include pictures of
items found.

The relationship between realtors and home inspectors is fundamentally
flawed. New inspectors are guided by training schools and information they can
gather on their own from many established inspectors to market themselves to
realtors. That as much as 70% of their business will come from a direct referral
by a realtor. Why? What do realtor’s do?
Simply stated the objective of a realtor is to sell the house. Home inspectors
have the power above all others to potentially slow that process. Doesn’t it seem
to be the best example of a conflict of interest?
To be fair there are realtor’s that refer Dogwood Home Inspection and know
fully that a detailed report will follow, repairs will have to made or even a new
price negotiated and that’s what these realtors want for their customers. With
that said perhaps it is time for a change. The state of Massachusetts seems to
think so and they took action
